"The Mermaids" are one of New Zealand's most popular musical entertainment line-ups!

They have entertained audiences throughout NZ with their selection of beloved pop music, ensuring packed dance-floors – not only do they have a great sound but they present well too! Their material is chosen from the best of the best of 60's retro & 70's disco, 80's and 90's pop and rock, right through to the great female artists of the 90's and up to present day.

Each singer is a top vocalist, performer and recording artist in her own right and the trio adds Martin Winch – top NZ recording guitarist to their group as well - his "Espresso Guitar" One and Two achieved Platinum album sales x4 in New Zealand and gold in Australia.

Joe Cotton of “True Bliss” – her album “Dream” sold double platinum in NZ. Amber Claire is currently receiving airplay on mainstream radio around NZ with her second single “At 17” – her debut album has reached Gold status in sales to date and was released through Sony Music late April 2004. Pauline Berry is a singer with many years experience of live performance. She also wrote and recorded an adult contemporary album with Martin Winch in 1997 Martin produced all the tracks and it still receives airplay on National Radio.

“The Mermaids” deliver a polished and professional musical entertainment experience – many of their tunes are choreographed and Joe, Amber and Pauline wear glamorous costumes appropriate to the occasion or theme.

Each of the group is a distinctive lead vocalist and they all take turns singing lead in various genres as well as blending in harmony on backing vocals and with Martin’s superb guitar accompaniment, the overall sound is unique and of international standard.

The Mermaids" have been a part of some fabulous occasions and are frequently recommended as the ideal band for corporate functions and similar events, adaptable to any size venue and occasion - boats and outdoor arenas, vineyards, Town Halls and resorts.

I would just like to pass on my many thanks to those wonderful girls … The Mermaids. We had a fantabulous time! The girls had the party humming … At one stage, the husband of a friend, who isn’t a dancer, left the bar to go into the dining room to talk to someone … anyone.
