Jim's been involved somehow somewhere with the media for a number of years - writing columns, on the radio, TV and the stage. He's written three books. Both "Blokes & Sheds" and "Inventions from the Shed" have been made into TV documentaries and his third book is entitled "Mates". Undeterred by their success he has just completed a sequel to "Blokes and Sheds" that was published recently and he's also the author of two columns, one published weekly in The Press and the other appearing monthly in New Zealand AutoCar. Jim also currently writes regularly for the NZ Herald.
Jim's been a regular guest on TV One's "Breakfast" Show and on Sky TV as well. He's also worked as a news and current affairs journalist, fronted a nightly show on CTV, Canterbury's regional TV station and taken part in numerous televised debates - perhaps that's why people keep asking him to make speeches here and there!
Jim's been burbling away happily for years both after dinner and as a conference MC in NZ and overseas. It would appear that unless he's fitted with a muffler, he's unlikely to be effectively silenced, even though that would greatly please the residents and ratepayers of the teeming district of Banks Peninsula. For some strange reason, he was an elected member of the Council, stood for Mayor and chaired the pothole committee! So, if you want a pothole, you know who to ask!
You can count on Jim to turn any event into a special occasion with his clever wit and humour. Many clients have him back year after year to work his special magic at their Awards Ceremonies, conferences, and corporate dinners.
