He has developed a perfect interactive music show – a choice of music, comedy, sing-a-long, actions, quiz and simulation in which the audience participates fully. Audiences young and old enjoy his naturally humorous and captivating style of linking songs with story and humour.
With a selection of disguises, a large collection of musical instruments and a repertoire of the greatest songs, he delivers a dynamic performance inspiring fun, evoking memories, lifting spirits and creating a memorable night with lots of laughter.
Chris has an excellent entertainment pedigree. He formed the band Pop Mechanix in 1979 and after touring New Zealand and releasing several successful singles, Pop Mechanix moved to Australia. Forced to change their name they became ZOO and toured Australia supporting major touring acts and headlining in smaller venues.
Chris returned to NZ in 1984 and began playing solo. Playing well known songs as well as some originals, he quickly became popular with students and in South Island hotels. During the snow season he regularly performed at Mt Hutt, Cardrona and Ohau, discovering a niche for his style of entertainment.
Chris’ music was a hit and his cassette Welcome to Malvern County which he sold at shows was highly successful; he produced 3 original CDs Long Nights Walking in the Wasteland, H.A.C.K., and the double CD Live/Life is Good which form The Aim Higher Trilogy.
