Jan's corporate experience was gained as Training Manager at the former 5 Star Regent of Auckland Hotel. She established the training and became Human Resources Manager, responsible for all recruitment, training, industrial relations, occupational health, human resource planning and career development.
In 1988 Jan set up her own successful Human Resource & Training consultancy providing a human resource management service, training in customer service, communication skills and people management.
Jan has a Diploma in Speech, Drama and Communication Skills from the Trinity College of London (L.T.C.L.) as well as from the New Zealand Speech Board (A.S.B.) She has a certificate in adult education from the Continuing Education centre, University of Auckland and a Diploma in Business (Personnel Management and Employee Relations) from the Graduate School of Business, University of Auckland. In 2003 Jan became a Certified Tetramap Facilitator and in 2004 was accredited and registered as a Licensed Assessor for Investors in People.
Director and Board roles have included; Enterprising Manukau, Auckland Business Development Board, UNITEC School of Communication and Glendowie College. She’s also a mentor for Business in the Community.
Jan adds value to client organisations through strategic human resource planning and management as well as individual advice and coaching for executives including management, communication and voice coaching. She's also a skilled 'TetraMap' presenter in developing people potential and performance!
She regularly facilitates on-going management and leadership development programmes that are custom-designed as in-house modules to enable a client management team to develop skills and knowledge as well as assessing and improving policies and systems.
Recent projects include out-sourced human resource management services, one-on-one coaching in communication skills, voice training, development and delivery of workshops for executives and senior management in managing performance.
