Stacey shot to fame after being chosen at 18 to host the cooking slot on popular kids TV show What Now (which she credits as her first acting role because of her lack of cooking skills then).
After a year in Japan on the American Field Scholars (AFS) exchange programme, Stacey returned to work as a researcher and presenter for a natural history-based slot on What Now.
Hailing from Christchurch, Stacey is fluent in Te Reo, and studies advanced Maori language courses. She works to promote Maori culture, language and health, and was the face of a Smokefree campaign aimed at Maori women.
